So how have we accomplished these objectives? At a high level, we’ve designed Cannect MIC around four pillars that, together, form the basis for an investment corporation that has established itself as a market leader.

Marcus Tzaferis is an alumnus of Wilfred Laurier University where he majored in economics and finance. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours in 2002, which ultimately led to a position with the Investment Banking Division of a major Canadian bank as an Equity Research Associate.
In 2003, Marcus joined MorCan Financial as the Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. While at MorCan Financial, Marcus’ business development and relationship management skills were key in establishing MorCan Financial as a major market player and helped foster strong relationships in the industry.
Through MorCan Financial, Marcus saw that there were deals that weren’t being funded by banks due to the Government of Canada’s shift to more conservative lending since 2008. He also saw that there was a huge opportunity to help investors access this market, and to provide borrowers with bridge-financing in order to improve their financial situation. A mortgage investment corporation proved to be the perfect vehicle to bring these lenders and borrowers together.
Phil brings over 15 years of operations management and business development with him from the Media sector. He was an early stage client and investor with Cannect before transitioning to a vital member of the Cannect MIC team. Phil deeply understands the value of the MIC and is well positioned to engage with investors.
Neil handles all administrative functions for the investment side of Cannect, as well as supporting other aspects of the business as needed.
Before joining Cannect, Neil spent nearly a decade with Staples working his way up through supply chain management before looking for a change of pace. Always happy to take on new tasks, Neil is focused on finding new methods and processes to better service the business and its customers.
